October Favourites

1. This Coffee

Seriously, I think I have an a diction to this coffee. I'm not sure where I got it from but it's SO good when it's cold outside, you've got a blanket, good movie/book and THIS coffee to comfort you.

2. My Wellies

Ive had these for over a year now but every autumn/winter, they come out of the cupboard and onto my feet because they're SO warm. I THINK they were from Primark which is surprising because they're excellent quality (I'm not saying Primark's rubbish but because of the cheap price, you'd expect that sort of quality). Obviously they're not Hunter's but I think they're just as good! I love the pattern too.

3. NYC BB Creme

Again, this product is relatively cheap compared to it's counterpart brands but I've found that it's much kinder to my skin than others.
I'm not a big fan of foundation because I have very sensitive skin so something more lightweight, like this BB Creme, was perfect because it still covers up any uneven patches or problem spots. I'd definitely recommend it!

My 4 Favourite Everyday Hairstyles

1. Half Up, Half Down
This is one of my favourite looks because it's just so versatile. It looks great straight, wavy, curly and natural. You can also put the "half up" section in a ponytail, braid or bun. AND, you can add as many accessories as you want to make it as formal or informal as you want.
Personally, I like wearing this hairstyle with my hair either natural or wavy or a school day with the "half up" section in a ponytail or bun because it just keeps it out of my face whilst still having that "it took me a long time" look.

2. Top Knot
I love wearing this hairstyle when it's a really hot say because it completely gets all of my hair off my neck.
I have found that sometimes, the bun just hasn't got volume so it doesn't really have any shape to it which looks terrible. So, what I like to do is:
1. Flip my head upsidedown and put it in a high ponytail.
2. Loosen the ponytail a bit and pull out my baby hairs at the side.
3. Tease the ponytail so it's a big puffball.
4. Finally, form the bun and pin it down.

3. The Hair Bow Made Out of Hair

For those slightly more adventurous days, I love wearing this hairstyle when I have the patience to do it in the morning. It's not that difficult to do once you get the hang of it; it's just the practicing that takes time.
I feel like if I explain how to do it in writing, it's not going to clear enough so I may make a YouTube video if somebody wants to learn.

4. Au Naturale

Some mornings, particularly living in England, I look outside my window at the awful weather and think to myself "no hairstyle is going to stay how I want it to, so why try?".
I think that embracing however your hair falls naturally is a great habit to get into because it defines you. If it's corkscrew curly, pin straight, or anywhere in between, enjoy it because it really does look great on you.

Just Look At That Weather!

Yes, I am from England so yes, I love to talk about the weather. (Not to stereotype or anything *wink wink*).

Some say that it's a "terrible morning" or a "gloomy day" but I think it's magnificent! We haven had a down pair like this for ages!

It's not raining as much at the minute, but at 6am this morning when I was out doing my paper round, it was torrential.

Love the weather no matter what it brings!

Monday Rant: Aggy Teachers!

Just as a precaution, I do apologize if any of my teachers stumble across this post and figure out that I'm talking about them. I will not, however, be using any names.

Okay, I think that we all need a bit of a rant on a Monday so here I go.

I'm not sure if it's just the weather that's bothering certain teachers, if they're Head Teacher is giving them a pay reduction or they have just turned into moody people over the summer...but why won't they smile for once!?

If what's making them aggy is the fact that they hate my year so much, then surely they should be happy because this is the last year they will have to put up with us. I mean, they've barely even got to see us for the entire year as we leave 2 months before the rest of the school because that's when our exams finish.

I'm being completely honest with you, this is exactly what one of my teachers looked like today.

Next scenario: they're being really hard on us because they want us to get the best grades possible. Now, this is slightly true. They do want us to get good grades but not for our benefit; they want us to succeed to make the school look good. I don't know the ins and outs of how a school works, but maybe they get paid higher is they work at an "outstanding" school.

Why can't we have those teacher's that look like this all the time?

Rant over.

September Favourites

September signifies the beginning of Autumn (possibly my favourite season!) and this means a lot of new things to be excited about.
Firstly, I have been LOVING these Pan Aroma candles for just £1 in from a little shop in my villiage.
This one is Fresh Laundry scented and I haven't lit it yet but I've also bought a Mixed Berries scented one which smells BEAUTIFUL. It really gives off that autumnal feel in my bedroom...and just for £1! I recommend buying 2 or 3 if you see them around because they're a cheap version of some more expensive candles that last just as long!

Okay, so this ones a bit of a strange one, but I've been loving my new ornament of The Buddha. In fact, it's probably widely unknown that I try my hardest to follow the teaching of The Buddha.
He looks great between my 2 candles on my window sill.

My last big favourite is my new boots from Primark for £15.
If you've read my previous posts, you'll know that I ADORE Primark and this is one of the primary reasons why.
These boots are SO comfortable and can work well with so many outfits from a skater skirt with a blouse to a pair of jeans and a knitted jumper.
I've worn them so much and the quality hasn't deteriorated as much as many people would expect a Primark product to.
Grab some while you can!

Here are some other things I've been loving:
1. Strawberry Nutri-Grain bars
2. Tea & Coffee with the sugar replaced for honey
3. ASOS (Free delivery!)
4. Roll neck tops/jumpers
5. Checking the weather! (A very British thing of me to do-I know)

Feeling Autumnal!

Autumn is one of my favourite times you of the year! Why? Well:
1. It's the season of Halloween
2. It's an excuse to buy a whole new wardrobe
3. Newly scented candles occupy my bedroom
4. Christmas is just around the corner
5. Fluffy socks are now acceptable to wear
6. It's the season of firework/bonfire night
7. Who doesn't love the novelty of rosy cheeks and windswept hair?
8. Pumpkins are fun to carve
9. New colours outside; new colours in your makeup bag
10. Crunchy leaves make me happy!

Just look at this picture: doesn't like make you happy? Embrace autumn!

I. Love. Primark.

Can I just say, and I think most people will be thinking the same: I. Love. Primark.
Not only does it offer some great prices, the clothing is great quality too! Time and time again, I've walked into Primark and found a cheaper version of a shirt or pair of jeans that are 3x the price is another highstreet shop.
A while ago, I bought a pair of Timberland-looking boots for just £15 and they've definitely lasted me through doing my paper round every morning in VERY different weathers.
In this photo, I'd paired them with a pair of disco pants (also from Primark), a white cami top with black polka dots (H&M) and a leather jacket (AX Paris).
